White desert & Djara Cave

The White Desert and Djara Cave was a repeat trip since people were so excited about it. We kicked things off with some fun snaps of the group, who were buzzing with energy. While everyone climbed this black hill, I stayed down cheering them on and capturing the action. It was awesome to see some familiar faces from our past trips to Lebanon, the first White Desert adventure, and Zanzibar. It’s always great to have old friends along for the ride.

We went on a safari and explored deeper into the desert than before, having a great time sliding down the sand and laughing together. We made a stop at a natural spring, where we drank the refreshing water and cooled off from the desert heat. Even though the trip was spread over three days, the stunning views and the calm surroundings made it feel like it flew by.

The second day’s highlight was definitely Djara Cave. It was a bit spooky but super fun—especially with candles lighting up the pitch-black cave. That night, we set up camp, enjoyed some stargazing, warmed up by the campfire, and listened to some Bedouin chants.
